We keep as little as we can, we use it only for the thing you asked for, and we never sell it.
Appy Web Studio is a trading name of KM System Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17161052), registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office. Email hello@appywebstudio.co.uk about anything on this page.
The form asks for your name, email, business name, which plan you are looking at and what you want to build. We use it to reply and to quote. That is all.
We keep enquiries for about a year so we can look back at a conversation, then they go. If you become a client, they become part of your file instead.
We hold what we need to run the relationship: your contact details, your business details, what we built, what you pay and when. Invoices and payment records we keep for six years, because HMRC requires it — that is the one thing we cannot delete on request, and we will say so if it applies.
If we have approached your business about a website, we will have kept its name and a business contact detail so we know who we have spoken to. Tell us and we will remove it the same day.
When somebody fills in a form on a website we host, that data belongs to our client, not to us. We hold it on their behalf and act on their instructions — in data protection terms they are the controller and we are the processor.
So if you contacted one of our clients and want your data removed, ask them. If they ask us, we do it.
No cookies. Nothing that identifies you. We count visits with a privacy-friendly tool we run on our own server, which records the page, the country and the kind of device, and nothing that could be traced back to a person.
Our server keeps a short record of requests, including the internet address they came from, so we can see if someone is trying to break in. It is deleted after 90 days.
Our hosting provider, our email delivery provider, and — where a client sells online — their payment provider. Each only handles data in order to provide that service to us, and card numbers never reach us. We can tell you who they are if you ask.
Nobody buys anything from us, and nothing is given to anyone for marketing.
Ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will — apart from the records above we are obliged to keep. You can also tell us to stop using it. Email or call; you do not need to explain why, and it costs nothing.
Tell us first and we will try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
